"My spring snapped on a Sunday. The technician explained exactly what had failed and why, replaced both springs, and showed me the balance test afterward. No drama."
"Opener died and I was locked out of my garage. They walked me through the repair-or-replace options on the phone honestly, then installed a quiet belt drive."
"Honest and professional. They fixed the off-track door instead of pushing me into a whole new one like another company tried to do."
"Great communication and they showed up when they said they would. My door is finally quiet again after years of sounding like a freight train."

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the questions LA homeowners ask us most. Still not sure? Just call, we're happy to help.
My garage door spring broke. Is it safe to use the door?
No. A broken torsion or extension spring means the door is extremely heavy and unbalanced, the opener may be straining against a load it was never meant to lift, and the cables can snap. Stop operating the door, keep people and vehicles out from under it, and call for a technician.
How do I tell whether the problem is the spring or the opener?
Pull the release cord and try lifting the door by hand. If it lifts smoothly and stays where you leave it, the door is balanced and the fault is almost certainly in the opener. If it is extremely heavy or slams back down, you have a spring or cable problem. Either way, do not keep running the opener against it. Call us and describe what happened.
How long does a typical garage door repair take?
Most common repairs, including spring replacement, cable replacement, roller swaps, and re-railing an off-track door, are finished within one to two hours once the technician is on site. A full opener replacement usually runs two to three hours, and a complete new door installation is generally a half day.
My garage door will not close all the way. What should I do?
The most common cause is a misaligned or obstructed safety sensor near the floor on each side of the opening. Check that both sensor lenses are clean, facing each other, and that the indicator lights are steady rather than blinking. If that does not resolve it, the fault is usually in the limit settings or the track, and a door left partly open is a security exposure worth addressing quickly.
Do you service all garage door brands and openers?
We work on all major brands, including LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Genie, Clopay, Amarr, Wayne Dalton, and more. That covers belt, chain, and screw-drive openers as well as modern Wi-Fi and smart openers, and we program remotes, keypads and in-car HomeLink systems before we leave.
Are you licensed and insured?
We are. EZ Garage Door Repair is licensed, bonded, and insured, and our technicians are background-checked. Every repair is backed by our 90-day workmanship warranty, and parts carry their manufacturer warranty.
Do you offer a warranty on garage door repairs?
Every repair is covered by a 90-day workmanship warranty, and the parts we install are covered by their manufacturer warranty. If something we fixed is not working right, we come back and make it right.
How often should a garage door be serviced?
Once a year is a sensible interval for a door in normal household use, and worth doing more often on a coastal property or a door that opens many times a day. A garage door cycles thousands of times a year, and a loosening bolt, a dry roller, or a slightly unbalanced door quietly compounds until something fails at an inconvenient moment.
